The linear regression for the southern hemisphere also matches what we expect: as we move away
from the equator, the temperature will drop. Or, as the plot shows, the closer we get to the equator,
the hotter it gets.
For every degree latitude we move from the south pole, the temperature increases by 0.65 degrees
Fahrenheit. The difference between this and the change in the Northern Hemisphere can be attributed
to the season: because it is closer to winter in the Southern Hemisphere, the change in temperature
is less due to the cold.
